Every year, National Children's Month (NCM) is celebrated to emphasize the importance of the child's role within the Filipino family and in nation-building and mandates the promotion and protection of their physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual, and social well-being by instilling in them the values of patriotism and nationalism, among others, as well as encouraging participation in public and civic affairs.
